4 Color Personalities

This simple explanation of 4 personalities is designed to help you on your journey.

With it, you can quickly find out what personality type a person is.

You will know the exact words to say to those people in their “secret” language.

And then your message will be received more easily and with more rapport.

This is a skill all people in network marketing should learn.

Gives you a quick and easy way to have more rapport and connection with people.

You learn how to talk to people more effectively.

And also learn what not to say to prospects so you don’t sabotage your message.

You don’t want to psychoanalyze people.

All you want is to learn enough so you can get your message to them more effectively.

By talking in a way they will understand.

Have you ever talked to a person who desperately needed your product?

And you just happened to offer that product to them?

Or

A person desperately needed your opportunity and you just happened to offer your business to them…

But by the end of it, the person says NO?!?

That is strange, is it not?

But what went wrong?

Well, the most obvious reason is that they do not believe the good things you say to them.

And they do not understand the language you are using to do so.

Until you learn how to speak in a proper language to people…

None of the things you consider important are relevant.

But why do people seem to not understand you?

Let me pick a word, for example, the word banquet.

Does it mean something different to different people?

But of course, it does!

And that is the problem in communication we have with people.

Almost every word in your presentation can mean something completely different to a person.

Especially when considering their personality color and the language they understand.

Is it now obvious why people don’t join your business or buy your products?

Every word you say means something different to a different personality person.

And when you speak in a different language than that person understands…

You are creating confusion and misunderstanding, and that person won’t join or buy from you.

So here are the four personalities and their “secret” languages.

YELLOWHELP, nurture, contribute, assist, feel, comfort, care, share, etc.

BLUEPARTY, FUN, exciting, excellent, new, awesome, travel, etc.

RED MONEY, power, wealth, competition, losers, whiners, results, control, boss, leader, etc.

GREENDATA, information, charts, presentation, etc.

Now the world makes more sense right?

Hopefully, you can now understand why some people react and behave differently than you expected.

Recognizing people’s personalities means translating your business and products into their language.

And that leads to more positive reactions and of course, more business.

But how can you recognize the personality color of a person?

Like anything else – by asking the right questions!

Here are 3 magic questions that will help you determine what color personality your prospect is:

  1. What do you do for a living?

(A clue based on their profession.

But it is only a guideline because people often don’t work at jobs that match their personalities.)
  2. What are you doing in your free time?
  3. What do you like most about your job/hobby?

You will notice word patterns in their answers, especially the one on the 3rd question.

Based on what words they use in them, they will fall in one or two colors max.

And now you know what words you should use when doing the presentation.

As a bonus, here is a little hint on how to motivate every personality type.

Yellow – by supporting a bigger cause and helping others.

Blue – tell them about travels, and parties after the events.

Red – competition motivates them best with recognition.

(compliment 1, compliment 2, and then give them a challenge)

Green – you do not motivate them at all.

They motivate themselves only after they collected more than enough information.

And even then they take baby steps.
