This is a script you can use when enrolling new distributors.
It will help you help them set the right expectations and realistic goals.
Also, it will make it clear what are their “duties” are and what will you do for them.
Here is how I do it, and how you can do it too:
“I help, you build this business.
Congratulations on making the decision.
I am proud of you for taking charge of your life.
From now on, things are going to be different for you and your family.
I appreciate the confidence you have in me and there is no doubt in my mind I cannot be of help to you.
Let me guide you to your success which will benefit us both.
My goal is to translate responses into results.
Some teachers teach for others to learn.
That is not me.
Some teachers teach for others to accomplish.
That’s me.
First, I want to make something clear.
If you succeed in this business, it is gonna be you who creates that success, not me.
If you fail in this business, it is gonna be you who creates that failure, not me.
You are going to be the difference between success and failure.
I am here to guide you every step of the way, but I cannot do it for you.
I am here to work with you, not for you.
My job is to help you become independent from me as quickly as possible.
Do you agree that is a good goal?
There will be ups and downs as you build your business.
There will be good times and bad times.
I will know when you’re in one of the bad times when:
- You aren’t calling me,
- You aren’t showing up for the meetings,
- If I start hearing excuses and that sort of thing.
When that happens to you, and it happens to everyone, how do you want me to handle that?
Do you want me to leave you alone?
Or do you want me to be persistent and remind you why you made this decision in the first place?”
I am also including a list of things you should look to achieve with them:
- Make sure they are set with appropriate products (which can be used personally by them)
– make sure that they are doing that monthly commitment
– make sure they have all the tools
– make sure they get connected (how to find things on the company website, webinars, events, etc.)
– making them independent ASAP is the goal
– make sure they have a basic understanding of the compensation plan
– make sure they know how to properly invite their prospects to learn more about what they have to offer - Help them create a game plan
– how to make their first customer/distributor
– how to attend the first webinar/event
– what steps you can make to help them earn their first commissions - Tell them to get back to you on a specific date (exposure system with assignments)
