Ways of Learning

People learn in different ways.

You want to spread your message effectively.

To achieve that, you will need to identify how people you are talking to learn and absorb information.

There are three main styles of learning, which are all connected to the human senses.

  • VISUAL LEARNERS

Such people like to see information in pictures, diagrams, charts, tables, and writing.

  • AUDITORY LEARNERS

They like to listen to the information and then discuss it, listening to what others say to help them learn.

  • KINESTHETIC LEARNERS

These people like to be active and learn by doing.

They are attuned to the feel and movement of things.

When you are presenting information to others, you should be aware that people learn in different ways.

If you are doing 1-on-1 meetings, you should learn how the person you are meeting absorbs information.

If you are going to do a group meeting, use a multi-sensory approach.

Include different styles of learning so that every audience member can take your presentation effectively.

This means that you should be able to provide visual aids that illustrate your argument/idea.

Add headings that support your argument/idea.

And to give them opportunities for discussion and further expression through stories and role play.
